Dan Beatty joined Northern as Deputy Director in 2005 and appointed as Executive Director in 2021.

Mr. Beatty graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in civil engineering and is a licensed professional engineer. He has over 35 years of public and private experience in all facets of Civil Engineering including stormwater management, potable water systems and waste water collection and treatment. Mr. Beatty gained his knowledge and experience through his employment with Northern, the City of Delray Beach and the engineering firm of Caulfield & Wheeler Inc. In addition, Mr. Beatty recently received his Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Nova Southeastern University.

• Coordination with the District Engineer and District General Counsel
• Coordination with Project/Consulting Engineers for project development
• Preparation and oversight of the five-year Capital Improvement Plan
• Preparation of Annual Budget
• Evaluation and review of engineering and construction contracts
• Emergency Management and Preparation
